Wow! What a
layout. Ron says that these are some guns that he had stored away. It's better
than all of mine put together alreadynot counting the other
photos.
I already checked and
THIS IS NOT that same group of BB Guns that was on the other page. I almost
wish it were. Because I am jealous! Forget the 10th Commandment for a
second...I wish I had these BB Guns. Well, of course, I really don't, but I
wish I had some just like them. My guess is that you can buy a Honda Accord
like mine for what they and that other group are worth. And yet, at the time
they were originally sold, they weren't expensive at all. Every kid just had to
have one. Now if I only had $1 for every Daisy ever sold, I could re-publish my
Uncle Talley's little book and add color photos!!!
Are you folks paying
attention to the quality of these photos? I get a lot of hits on these
Collection Page, but I would like to have a few comments from you folks on
whether or not you are enjoying seeing other people's
collections.
Our right side of that
same shelf. Here we see a bunch of Hubley and Kilgore Cap Guns. With a few
Kenton and Stevens thrown in for good measure. I see a 49-ER there and a nice
Kilgore Lone Ranger. Any excess Cap Guns that you might have can be shipped to
me and I'll gladly donate the shipping out of the goodness of my
heart.
I guess one
of these days I'm going to have to break down and buy a Kilgore Big Horn.
Everybody else seems to have one but me. Here's a couple of them front and
center. Along with some nice Alan Ladd Shane guns and a BOX! Doggone but I
cherish good boxes.
Gee
willikers, won't you look at the Cap Guns! Besides the nice HALCO and
Leslie-Henry guns, there are some Nichols Guns in this man's house! There's a
Mustang 500 and the box of my perennial favorite, the Stallion 41-40. And, of
course, on the far right a Stallion 45 MK-II. Do you notice that Hubley 44
there? The lack of luster on the gun suggests that it is one of those from the
kit, but I can't be sure. If that Cap Gun (and all Hubley long 45's and 44's)
had been properly engineered, then it might just be the most famous Cap Gun of
all time, but it had some serious design flaws. But I still like it. I have 2
of them.
This photo
was just a tad fuzzy, so I sharpened it a bunch. I hope it comes out good on
your end. And I hope that you are clicking on all of these photos, for I have a
larger version behind every one of them. The quality of Ron's photos is just
too good to miss.
I just can't believe it. There goes that jealousy factor again.
He has a Stallion Model 61 in the shadow box!!! Do you have any idea of what
that's worth? Well, if I had just won the lottery, then he could sell it to me
for a pretty penny!!! And of course, right in front it is one of my personaly
favorites: The Stallion 41-40. And some Hubley Cowboys.
Here is a photo with 3
Pasadena Stallion 45's in it. And one of them is a rather controversial gun.
Notice that the one on the left is gold plated. This is only the second one
from Pasadena that I have ever seen that was gold plated and the other one is
in my cousin Robert's showcase. Very unusual.
Here is a good close-up
of that controversial Stallion 45 from Pasadena. If any of the rest of you have
one like it, please let me know. I thought that Robert's was the only one in
existence.
