Even more Cap Guns from Leslie-Henry!

M.A. Henry "Hopalong" from Canada (Gold!)
This is an extremely rare Cap Gun! As far as I know it is the only Hopalong Cassidy Cap Gun that doesn't have "Cassidy" on it. It just says, "Hopalong." Almost like they were trying to get around the licensing issue. If you will compare this GOLD VERSION with the regular nickel plated version below, you will see that the one below has the longer barrel.

M.A. Henry "Hopalong" from Canada Long Barrel Nickel
Go ahead and compare this one to the one above. It definitely has a longer barrel. And there's those silly square-holed screws! Definitely from Canada.

Leslie-Henry Wild Bill Hickok
A very rare "pop-up" cap box variety of the Wild Bill Cap Gun. See more below.

Thank You Tom Coates!
And here's a very rare version (and box) of that same Cap Gun from Canada. Steve says that he got the gun at an estate auction and that it is manufactured by M.A. Henry Ltd., Dundas, Ontario.

Photos thanks to Steve Gosse!
Again we see a version of the Wild Bill Hickok Cap Gun, but this version has the simulated revolving cylinder and the antique bronze finish. You will notice that this one has the cameo grips. They put different grips on them, it would seem, for no apparent reason.
Thank You Tom Coates!
Here is the same basic gun as the first one but the grips are copper plated.
Thank You Damon Converse!

Leslie-Henry Wild Bill Hickok in Gold With Bronze Grips
(Pop-Up Version)
I just couldn't help myself but put these in here. For one thing, the photography is excellent and another thing is that I am somewhat upset that he found these in an antique store, just sitting there waiting for him. Why can't I ever find stuff like this? It would have been even better if he had put all of this stuff on a beige background. You should always watch your background, for digital cameras seem to incorporate part of it into the overall hue of the photograph. Red is the absolute worst. NEVER use red!!!

Here's another Canadian set showing (up close) the type of screws that the Canadian company used. I hadn't seen the red ellipse before either.

Here's a remarkable set complete with holster and box. The box and holsters are ALSO Leslie-Henry. This set is worth some serious money. I always loved Andy Devine. What a voice.

M.A. Henry Wild Bill Hickok & Jingles Pop-Up Model
This is an M.A. Henry Wild Bill Hickok and Jingles set from Canada.

Besides being a pop-up Cap Gun, this set also is TWO SINGLE HOLSTERS! Quite unusual and rare as the Dickens.
All photos thanks to Scott McCollum.

Here's the top area over the holster pocket showing the nice engraving.

And I couldn't resist just one more photo (because of the quality) of this Cap Gun's right side. Rich says that the grips are metal plated with copper.

Here's the M.A. Henry (of Dundas) Wild Bill Hickok and Jingles kid's Cowboy Outfit. This must really be rare.

And just to demonstrate how popular this series was, here's ANOTHER box for the same basic Cap Gun.

And here's the gun from this box. Since this style of logo seems peculiar to the HALCO series, then the gun and the above box were probably also HALCO, bue Leslie-Henry were still the makers. I think.

Here's a rare ad of the HALCO style probably by Leslie-Henry and distributed by Glenn Bever.

Here's a nice set with the same basic gun but with a fine holster set.

Here is a mint long-barreled Wild Bill Hickok Leslie-Henry example. Very rare and this one is MINT.

Leslie-Henry Wild Bill Hickok Pop-Up Model
This Leslie-Henry Wild Bill Hickok is the same version as the amber grip model above.

These photos are included because they show a lot of close-up detail and the white grips are different.

Leslie-Henry Matt Dillon Longhorn
This Leslie-Henry Matt Dillon Longhorn model is the same version as the amber gripped Wild Bill Hickok model above. Anything to make an extra buck, right?
