I haven't a clue as to how the rest of you used single shot Cap Guns, but I usually tore off about 4 caps from a roll and then just stuck one end into the gun then pulled the trigger. Turn it over and fire again. Fold in half—repeat.

In order to ensure your personal deafness, take a few strong rubber bands and stretch them over the end of the barrel-to the hammer, and then insert a bunch of caps and pull back the hammer and let go. Don't try this at home: We were "Professional Kids."
