It looks like Tom has
collected mugs from 4 Western toy shows. And as I previously said, here are
some more antique toys. He does seem to have a penchant for ambulances and
medical stuff. Tom, were you a hospital corpsman like me?
Now we're talking!!! Here's one of those ALMOST
IMPOSSIBLE TO GET Nichols sales display boards. Folks, there aren't very many
of these running around, though I'm sure there must have been hundreds made.
And the strange thing to me (besides the fact that I don't have one) is that
they come in quite a few "flavors." That is, there are lots of combinations of
the guns on them. Tom does have a bunch of lamps.
Here's a pretty orderly arrangement of Hubley, Stevens, Kilgore
and other guns. Right next to what looks like a Matchbox collection or perhaps
Dinky Toys. Is that a Plainsman?
I bet you could buy a nice
used piano for what this Army Ambulance truct cost. Again I point out his
penchant for medical stuff.
Well obviously this is a circus wagon, but it must be valuable,
for it has its very own display case.
A few more medical
marvels and then a pile of space guns and ray guns. There are plenty of people
who collect almost nothing but ray guns. I see a Hubley Atomic Disintegrator in
the lower right hand corner. I have bid on a bunch of them, but greedy people
keep outbidding me.
A little different angle so
that you can see them even better. See Robby the Robot? He was from The
Forbidden Planet and also made a few guest appearance on Lost in
Space with Will Robinson. I would like to have a real working model of
Robby, for he could make diamonds and sapphires. I could use a couple of pounds
of them to purchase my new Steinway.
