The Cowpuncher is one of those "latter year toy
Cap Guns" that catered to the "dwindling age" of those little tykes who still
played with cap pistols and chose sides as "Cowboys and Indians." A small gun,
yet powerful enough for the little guys and gals.

My
guess is that this Cowpuncher came out before the one right below. Also from
Jamie Linford.
Another excellent offering from
Jamie
Linford. I wish I HAD a collection as good as his! Oh well, we
Nichols' must have been too close to the forest (for the most
part).

Why is it that some people have all of the guns?
Here is a wonderful example of a Cowpuncher with red grips. Very nice
finish!
Thank you Jamie Linford. |
The Cowpuncher is a small gun, measuring about 8"
x 3-1/2". As you can see, it also came in white and black grips. (and
RED!) |
Okay, let's go for another color! Here is a dark
one!!!
Thanks to our friend, George Phillips, for this
photo. |
And
here's one with blue grips from
Steve
Arlin! Sometimes I
look at these "basic" guns and think that the circle had come all of the way
around. Nichols Industries started out with small guns, went to the big guns
and then scaled back down to the smaller guns again.
Here's an offering from Nichols with a little
holster. And what in the world is that fine print on the lower left of the
card?
