Here is a good close-up of the gun "broken down"
so that you can see where the caps belong. I'm not really completely aware if this nickel plating is original or whether these Cap Guns were refurbished and then re-plated. However, it doesn't really matter, since I don't own them. If I did, then I would probably have them locked in a vault! Cap Guns are a good investment, as the collectors are only gaining in number, but the guns remain elusive—especially the high-quality ones. Photo thanks to Doug Hamilton |
